Swift Service For BCC Motor Group's Customers
Swift Service At BCC Motor Group
Over 32 years after BCC Motor Group's chairman, Mike Holt, opened his car dealership in Bolton, the renowned vehicle specialist is still helping customers drive away with a great deal. BCC has four Citroen and three Suzuki sites, plus a Hyundai showroom in the North West. BCC Suzuki stocks a full range of new and quality used vehicles. The high level of customer satisfaction is one of the main reasons for BCC Suzuki's success, and over the years the group has seen a growing number of customers come to the showrooms on the back of recommendations and glowing reports from friends and family. Many of the dealership's customers are loyal to BCC and visit every time they want a new car, expert Suzuki advice or simply a winter check - knowing that the experienced aftersales team will make sure their vehicle is ready to handle the unpredictable British weather.

Following the closure of Rochdale Suzuki (Manchester MK Automotive), BCC Motor Group helped existing Rochdale customers, many of who were left with vehicles and parts on order. BCC's customer service team came into its own and ensured the Suzuki name was untarnished by liaising with Rochdale customers to make sure orders were fulfilled and drivers were happy.

Rochdale customer Amar Soe was unaware that Rochdale Suzuki had closed and was concerned about the new Suzuki she had on order. Amar said "Being unable to get through to any staff on the day of picking up my car, I was left in despair and with utter disappointment. Luckily, I found BCC Motor Group Bolton Suzuki on Suzuki's website and contacted them immediately, hoping they would be able to retrieve the car for me. I was treated with care by its understanding staff. Although it was impossible to get the same car back, one of the staff, Craig, recommended an equivalent Suzuki Alto. I was allowed to test drive it on the same day, even after working hours. Craig was extremely helpful, treated me as a priority customer and volunteered to deliver the new car to my door in Manchester, the next working day. I can't describe how grateful I am for his professionalism and I would recommend BCC Motor Group Suzuki Bolton to anyone."

BCC Suzuki offers a full range of vehicle sales and services including part sales.

BCC Motor Group Help Out The Chorley Angels...

Dear BCC Citroen,

I just had to put pen to paper, or, as it seems to be nowadays, fingers to keyboard! To say an enormous thank you for your help in getting the St John Ambulance Chorley Quad Cadet First Aid team to the St John Ambulance National Finals.

Having been victorious at both County and Regional Competitions, the team then had a major problem in how to mobilise them all in one vehicle all the way down to Rugby where the National Finals were held.

As a driver by occupation, my car of choice is the Citroen C4 VTR+ EGS. I need the exceptional economy that is afforded by the C4 as I clock up a horrific amount of miles annually. I have also harboured a love for the new C4 Grand Picasso due to its versatility and load space in the rear. I was therefore both delighted and overwhelmed when you agreed to ‘lend’ me the Grand Picasso for the trip.

The car, by the way was fantastic! The nature of the trip meant that we had on board two adults, (myself and my wife, who is the Unit Superintendent) and four fully grown 16 year olds (the Cadet First Aid team) who all came from different families, this worked out at five separate pieces of luggage and four suit carriers for the teams uniforms, a lot more than an average family would take on holiday for a month!

By lowering one of the rear seats in to the floor the suitcases and uniforms went in very easily. The Grand Picasso then took us down to Rugby, along to Stratford upon Avon for a day, then to return to Lancashire, it then amazed us by returning over 49 miles per gallon! And this with the extra weight of two large silver trophies on the return trip…read on!

On the day the team, dubbed Chorley’s Angels competed as team E, this meant four teams were to compete before them and five teams followed afterwards. First team in was Bilsthorpe from Nottinghamshire, a team with a long history in First Aid competitions and one of the favourites to win. There were also very good teams from Avon, Pontarddulais, (South West Wales) and a top quality team from Northern Ireland.

After two hours in isolation before it became their turn to compete, they were quite rightly very nervous, the team test came first. The scenario; a man walking across the local park is hit from behind by a person on a skateboard. The result, two fractures, one to the upper arm, the other a nasty fracture to the knee…ouch! Add to that cuts and bruises to arms and legs with both casualties going into shock. I think you have a good idea how much work is required in just 8 minutes.

Each member of the team had to perform an individual test with casualties sporting an array of injuries, more fractures, head injuries, more cuts and severe bleeding, a sprained knee and shock. When the team came off the tests afterwards they looked like they were going into shock. For two of the team this was their first year of competition.

So on to the results, given out in the order that the teams competed. Bilsthorpe first; 261 points, gosh what a high score, followed by scores of 217, 223 and 212 by the very good team from Avon, the Bilsthorpe score is obviously very good, but Chorley is next up…287 points, a lot of wowing, whispering and exhaling of breath at this mighty score! Chorley is out in front. Right after Chorley came Pontarddulais, 241, not good enough, then came a low score of 209 but what could the Irish team do? A heart stopping 273 is what. That put them second, too close for comfort, Chorley were not home and dry yet! There followed a 213 and finally a low 170. The Chorley contingent went berserk!

As the team went up to receive the trophy the applause was deafening! The trophy was presented by Stephen Blakeley, (PC Younger in Heartbeat) a former St John Cadet and fierce competitor. The team received the National Trophy and also the trophy for the best team test, of which the head judge stated that the team captain, Joy Woodcock performed an outstanding display of leadership.

It is very possible that events like these change peoples lives, these youngsters are growing into adults which we should all be proud of, I know I am! I also know that this is only possible because of the generosity and forward thinking of people like yourself, thanks BCC Citroen,

Your support is greatly appreciated.

David Forrest

Mr Elwood 30 Years On...

Mr Elwood 30 years on
Mr Elwood recently had his vehicle booked in at our Bolton Hyundai Service Department. Whilst waiting for his repair we worked out he had been coming to BCC Motor Group for nearly 30 years.

Starting off with the company at its first location on Folds Road (Botlon) and then following us to our new garages. As far as he can remember he has had 5 vehicles from us over the years. When asked which was his favourite he replied with a big smile "A white Lada Niva 1300s."
